Mirrors To Host Workshops To Assist Parents

February 12, 2015

The Mirrors Programme will host Impact Workshops for parents and youth workers who want a renewed appreciation for self and what it means to be a parent and new ideas on working effectively with young people.

Mirrors Programme Coordinator, Kim Jackson stated, “Like everything else that we do in life, raising children is no easy task. Regardless if the decision is large or small, every one we make is important to a young person’s development. The IMPACT workshop is about the adult’s personal development and how their actions impact children.”

Ms Jackson added, “We want to empower and build confidence in parents and their ability to improve in their interaction with their children or young people they mentor.”

IMPACT Workshop is an interactive two and a half-day programme. During the workshops participants will explore thought-provoking questions and concepts designed to help them develop a clearer outlook of what they can accomplish and how to make more powerful choices.

The workshop is free and will be held at the Police Recreation Club on February 27and 28 and March 1. The workshop hours are Friday, 6:00pm-9:00pm; Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-6:00pm
