Man Charged Following Fatal Collision In UK

March 10, 2015

69-year-old Malcolm Griffiths has been charged in a UK court with causing death by careless driving after 20-year-old motorcyclist William Ruewell was killed in a crash with his car in West Sussex last year.

Mr. Griffiths — who the British media are reporting is from Landmark Drive, Southampton, Bermuda — was arrested following the fatal collision in August 2014.

At the time of the collision, the British media reported that, “The car was a Volvo V40 hatchback driven by a 69-year-old man on holiday in the UK from his home in Bermuda. He suffered shock, and his passenger, a 64-year-old woman also from Bermuda, sustained a broken collar bone, whiplash, and shock.”

Mr. Griffiths is due to go before Worthing Magistrates on March 24.
