Photos: 190 Ft Yacht “Illusion” Visits St George’s
The 190 foot luxury yacht Illusion V – which reportedly costs $350,000 per week to rent – is the latest luxury vessel to make its way to Bermuda, where it is presently berthed in St. George’s.
The Illusion V was built at the Benetti Livorno shipyard and launched only last year, and is designed for commercial charter use, featuring an owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin, three double guest cabins, and one twin cabin; with space to accomodate 12 guests in luxurious surroundings.
According to Camper & Nicholsons International [CNI], the firm that rents the Illusion V, it is available at weekly base rates of $350,000 plus expenses.

The firm’s website says, “Designed to represent the epitome of elegance, Illusion V’s contemporary interior incorporates exotic materials such as walnut, onyx, Lalique crystal, parchment and silks, all of which create an inviting backdrop to the stunning vistas viewed from the full height windows.
“Boasting a massive master suite with study, full-width VIP stateroom and four large additional staterooms, she comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests. What’s more, she has an abundance of dining, entertainment and relaxation areas, a full bar and beach area on her lower deck, and the latest technology in stability and noise reduction.

“Up on deck, her spaces have been carefully planned for optimum privacy and comfort. Her sun deck is perfectly setup for ‘at sea’ entertaining and houses a large Jacuzzi, which is surrounded by sunpads, loungers, bar and barbecue.
“With such a long list of artfully crafted features – as well as an incomparable selection of water toys comprising a Jetovator, a Flyboard, Snuba and Scuba gear, fishing equipment and inflatables – there is no arguing Illusion V offers the finest in barefoot luxury.”
Absolutely breathtaking!
Perhaps St George could fix up the docks where these ships tie up. It looks pretty bad. There are sketchy pillions to tie the lines to, and the edge of the dock is pitted and broken in many places.
St. George is in need of a Marina, a new hotel, and a cruise ship. I just with the govt of the day would stop procrastinating and get it done.
The marina is close to being a reality. I heard the Mayor talking about it. The hotel is on the way. These things take time and are a complexed. It’s not procrastinating it is getting it right. The Minister reckons breaking ground in the Fall. Let’s hope so. We are all skeptical and weary and understandably impatient after decades of talk. Dredging is up for discussion now and it will have to be decided if the people of St. George’s want that to happen. For me it is a no brainer. So now, with a certain set of circumstances in place, positive things are beginning to happen.
You have to give to get !
Nice ass boat. But 350K. Forget that. If I had that kinda money the boat would have to bigger than that for me to rent it at that rate. If it was the eclipse or something close to its size it’ll be reasonable
Eclipse rents for a staggering $2 Million a week the “nice ass boat” is a deal!
Nah. too small. I’ll keep my cash in the bank for now ….
St George’s does very well with the limited income that they have available.
Anytime they want to do anything they have to go Hat in Hand to Government and beg from a Government that is trying to RECOVER from the mess that the previous administration left us in.
Cut the HUGE civil service that we don’t need cut the HUGE DENT which would then save us $170Million in interest alone and we would have plenty of money to develop anything we wanted.
But we can’t do that for now.
