Jonathan Evans To Join Allied World Board
Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG announced that Jonathan Evans will join the board of directors and become the Non-Executive Chairman of Allied World Managing Agency Limited, its Lloyd’s managing agency, subject to U.K. regulatory approval.
From May 2010 to March 2015, Mr. Evans served as the U.K. Member of Parliament for Cardiff North. Mr. Evans was first elected to Parliament in 1992, and has served for two decades in the House of Commons and in the European Parliament in Brussels.
He has previously served as Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Insurance and Financial Services and Co-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Building Societies and Financial Mutuals. Mr. Evans is a lawyer who specialized in corporate and regulatory insurance law.
