BNT Trust Talk On “History Of Bermuda In Print”

The Bermuda National Trust invites the public to the next topic in their “Trust Talks” programme, which will feature Horst Augustinovic speaking on the history of Bermuda in print

The event flyer says, “Horst, the author of ‘What You May Not Know About Bermuda’, will provide a new look at Bermuda’s history and world events with emphasis on how Bermudians and tourists communicated before e-mail.

“He will speak about the introduction of postage stamps, postal stationery cards and postcards in Bermuda and will delight the audience with fascinating examples of early aviation, crash mail and maritime disasters, the Boer War, both World Wars, the Bermuda Railway and the development of Bermuda tourism.

“Sunday April 19 At Waterville, 3 pm. Tea will be served at 4 pm. Cost to be $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Please RSVP Peter Frith pfrith@bnt.bm or call BNT 236-6483. Space is limited, reservations required so call today.”
