BFA Reps Attend CFU Congress In Bahamas
BFA President Larry Mussenden and General Secretary David Sabir today [Apr 15] attended the Caribbean Football Union [CFU] XXXVIII Congress in the Bahamas, where thirty one CFU countries were represented.
The Open Ceremony consisted of addresses by CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb and FIFA President Joseph Blatter, who commended Mr. Mussenden for his continued role as Chairman of the FIFA Appeals Committee.
The Congress agenda included the CFU President’s annual report, which the BFA said noted the participation of Bermuda as follows:
- Anthony Francis as a Referee Technical Instructor
- Ronue Cann as a Referee Fitness Instructor
- Bermuda U17 Boys group round in July 2014, when Jerome Bailey was a top scorer with 2 goals
- Bermuda U20 Men’s group round in June 2014, when Rai Simons was the top scorer with 3 goals
- Bermuda Women’s Caribbean Cup group round 1 in May 2014, when Shuntae Todd and Cheyra Bell were 2nd and 3rd top scorers
Also present were three FIFA President challenger candidates who met many of the delegates throughout the proceedings.
The CONCACAF Congress takes place Thursday, April i6, 2015, in Nassau, Bahamas.
