Global Finance Names Butterfield ‘Best Bank’
The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited has been named Global Finance’s best bank in Bermuda in its 2015 selections of the World’s Best Developed Market Banks.
Global Finance is a US-based periodical providing analysis and articles on financial markets and financial institutions. It has a circulation of more than 50,000 subscribers in 180 countries. The editors of Global Finance made their selections of the 2015 regional and country winners after consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers and analysts throughout the world.
In addition, a poll of Global Finance’s corporate readership was conducted to increase the accuracy and reliability of the results. Both objective and subjective criteria were considered by the editors in making their selections, and included factors such as each bank’s growth in assets, profitability, new business development and innovation, as well as analysts’ opinions.
The complete list of the 2015 global winners will be published in the May edition of Global Finance.
In a press release announcing the winners, Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director at Global Financesaid, “The banks that Global Finance is honouring may not be the largest or oldest, but they are the best at targeting their products and offerings to the specific markets they serve. These banks have weathered the volatile conditions of the past few years and are primed to take advantage of global conditions as they improve.”
