Appleby Partners To Speak At Trusts Forum
Appleby announced its participation at the inaugural Transcontinental Trusts Bermuda Forum on 27 – 28 April 2015 at the Fairmont Southampton.
Appleby lawyers Vanessa Schrum and Keith Robinson will moderate panels at the Transcontinental Trusts Bermuda Forum which is being held on the island for the first time. Appleby is also a gold sponsor of the event.
Ms Schrum, a partner and head of Appleby’s Bermuda Private Client & Trusts practice group, will be moderating a panel discussion on trusts and other wealth planning structures on Monday 27 April titled “21st Century Structuring Options”.
Mr Robinson, a partner in Appleby’s Bermuda Dispute Resolution practice group, will be moderating a panel on Monday 27 April titled “Protecting Trustees: Personal Liability for Trustees & Directors”, addressing liability risks for trustees.
Ms Schrum, whose practice focuses on a wide range of trust and estate planning matters, commented, “This is an exciting time for Bermuda, already a leading and well-respected trusts jurisdiction, to be hosting an important event with a large following.”
Mr Robinson, whose practice focuses on high value trust disputes and restructurings, added: “The fact that Transcontinental Trusts is holding a forum here for the first time speaks to Bermuda’s prominence in the global offshore trusts world and we’re extremely pleased to be part of it.”
Over the last 30 years, Transcontinental Trusts events have drawn the world’s top private client practitioners featuring high profile speakers such as key international judges, politicians and industry leaders.
Will there be an archived video of the event? I’m interested in hearing how BDA is keeping on the leading edge of trust management.
