Govt. House Gardens To Open This Summer
Once again Government House Gardens will be open on Sunday afternoons from this Sunday [3 May] until Labour Day. This will be the second summer that the gardens have been opened to the public and it is hoped that they will again be enjoyed by everyone.
“Entry and exit will be via the North Gate on North Shore Road. Visitors are encouraged to come on foot, by pedal bike or use the No 11 bus, which stops near the gate, as there will be no parking allowed on the grounds,” a spokesperson said.
“The gardens will be open from 12noon to 5pm each Sunday, but will not be open over the Cup Match weekend. Families are invited to come and relax and enjoy the space, but visitors will be asked to respect the gardens, especially the gardens being run by students from the three Pembroke Parish primary schools: Victor Scott, West Pembroke and Northlands.
“Visitors are asked to be considerate of others using the grounds by not playing amplified music and not bringing dogs. You are welcome to picnic.”
