Seminars: America’s Cup Business Opportunities

The America’s Cup Event Authority [ACEA] and the ACBDA have teamed up with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] and Bermuda Chamber of Commerce to help ensure the widespread communication of America’s Cup-related business opportunities throughout the community in Bermuda.

“This strategic partnership will help to enable businesses in Bermuda of all sizes and across multiple industries to take full advantage of the ongoing commitment by the America’s Cup to potentially impact the local economy,” a statement said.

“There are and will be an abundance of business opportunities across all sorts of industries and thus invite as many businesses as possible to register their interest to be a part of the America’s Cup in Bermuda. The America’s Cup Business Connect portal invites all businesses interested in staying informed of available business opportunities to register here.

“Upcoming information sessions will be held across Bermuda to enable all local businesses to attend and learn more about the business opportunities offered through the America’s Cup.

  • Tuesday, May 26th 6:00pm to 7:30pm BIOS Hanson Hall, St. George’s
  • Thursday, May 28th 6:00pm to 7:30pm Sandys Secondary Middle School, Sandys
  •  Tuesday, June 2nd 6:00pm to 7:30pm Heritage Worship Centre, Hamilton

Erica Smith, Executive Director, BEDC said, “Hosting the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda is truly an honour for Bermuda. This event provides an unparalleled opportunity for Bermuda, its people, and of course its unique businesses.

“In this regard, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation is delighted to be working in partnership with the America’s Cup Business Connect to ensure all Bermudian businesses and entrepreneurs are aware of the potential business opportunities and are well prepared and positioned to respond quickly when those opportunities arise.

“We encourage all Bermudian businesses, entrepreneurs and single owner operated enterprises to take advantage of the opportunities ensuring everyone gets access to the information and has a fair chance of responding. We encourage you to register with AC Business Connect as soon as possible.”

“The ACEA encourages businesses to register with BEDC and the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce to take advantage of their available services and to ensure they receive regular communications regarding all opportunities that arise,” the statement said.
