Football: Bermuda To Play Against Puerto Rico

May 18, 2015

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] confirmed that there will be an upcoming friendly match between the Bermuda men’s national team and the Puerto Rico men’s national team.

The match will take place at the National Sports Centre, Friday, June 5, at 7:30pm Bermuda time.

BFA Vice President Mark Wade commented, “We are happy to have a final warm-up match at home before the team leaves for Guatemala. This match gives the public a chance to see the team in its final preparations.”

Bermuda national team First Assistant Maurice Lowe added, “Our preparations are going well; there is a buzz within the team. Intensity has been high in the training sessions. Puerto Rico will be a good opponent to test ourselves against, I don’t think their ranking shows exactly how good they are.”

Tickets for the friendly match against Puerto Rico, as well at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia second leg qualifier against Guatemala, will go on sale on Tuesday, May 26. Tickets will be available from the BFA Offices and online from www.ptix.bm. There will be a ‘two-match special’ on offer, as well as group rates and discounts for seniors/children.
