Minister Fahy’s Trip To ILO Meeting Cost $169
A trip in March 2015 by Minister of Home Affairs Michael Fahy to the International Labour Meeting in the Bahamas cost $169.88, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.
This is the lowest listed cost for a trip since the webpage went live last year, as most the costs for the Minister’s trip — including flights and hotel — were funded by the ILO.
The trip duration was listed as from Tuesday, March 03, 2015 to Wednesday, March 04, 2015, and the website listing said: “The Minister attended the Ninth International Labour Meeting, hosted by the International Labour Organization [ILO] Decent Work Team and Office for the Caribbean in collaboration with the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
“All associated costs, including flights, hotel and most food were funded by the ILO. The meeting was held at the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau on March 3rd and 4th under theme “Decent Work for Sustainable Development.”
“Fifteen Ministers with responsibility for labour, as well as permanent secretaries and high-level officials from 22 countries and territories of the English and Dutch speaking Caribbean attended the meeting.”
