Myah Bridgewater Performs With New York Pops
Aspiring Bermudian musical theatre performer Myah Bridgewater was featured at the New York Pops 32nd Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall last week as part of the Camp Broadway ensemble cast of 62 young performers between the ages of 12 and 16.
Ms. Bridgewater was selected to join the cast as the sole international representative from over 500 amateur performers during an audition process.
The young performer’s Carnegie Hall debut came at the culmination of a jam-packed three-day rehearsal schedule under the direction of Artistic Director,Tony Parise.
Her rehearsals featured master classes in vocal performance, dancing and acting, and rehearsal with the Carnegie Hall orchestra under the company’s famed music director and conductor, Steve Reineke.
The 32nd New York Pops annual benefit gala concert paid tribute to Rob and Kathleen Marshall, with Ms. Bridgewater appearing alongside an all-star cast of seasoned Broadway performers.
Those performers included Queen Latifah, James Snyder, Renee Fleming, Alan Cumming, Margo Seibert, Victor Garber, Rachel York, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Sutton Foster, Laura Benanti, Rob McClure, Ken Watanabe, Zina Goldrich, Marcy Heisler, Kelli O’Hara, Bebe Neuwirth.
