Norwegian Dawn Returns For Sick Passenger
Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Dawn returned to the island at approximately 8.45pm tonight [May 5] after a passenger took ill and the captain decided to divert.
The cruise ship departed this evening after a three day visit berthed at King’s Wharf in Dockyard. A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson confirmed the pilot boat St David met the vessel off the east end where the sick passenger, an 82 year old female, was disembarked and transported to Ordnance Island before being transferred to an awaiting ambulance and taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.
