Photos: Fairmont Hosts Taxi Appreciation Event

May 22, 2015

Fairmont Southampton hosted a taxi appreciation event yesterday [May 21] which saw taxi drivers invited to drive-by for a boxed breakfast and beverages, along with a small gift.

Over 100 breakfasts were served, with a few Fairmont Southampton colleagues travelling to Dockyard to serve the drivers waiting to collect passengers of the recently-docked cruise ship.

Carlita Lodge, Marketing and Communications Manager said, “It was a terrific morning where we were able to give a heartfelt thank you to Bermuda’s taxi drivers that provide invaluable service for our guests, especially during the busy summer season.”

First, and foremost thanks to South P for the breakfast served to the taxi drivers. Second, Taxi drivers are one of our most important assets in regards to visitor experience while on island, must include bus drivers as well. BTA please note …you do not get a second chance to make a first impression. And for what its worth I am not a taxi driver nor anyone in my family drives taxi.
