Bermuda On USA Today Hottest Destination List
USA Today has named Bermuda as one of the “10 hottest destinations for summer 2015,” touting Cup Match, Bermuda Heroes Weekend, and Marcus Samuelsson’s new signature restaurant as just a few of the many reasons to pay the island a visit.
The article says of Bermuda, “Short flight times and a jump in direct seasonal service just might make Bermuda one of the easiest beach destinations for East Coasters.”
“And unlike in winter, when activities are geared mainly to tourists, summer brings friendly and welcoming local events that offer a taste of Bermudan hospitality.
“Catch big summer events like the Annual Cup Match & Summer Splash, Bermuda Heroes Weekend and LIV Bermuda; or just hit the town on any summer Friday night for festivities.
“This will be the first summer for celeb chef Marcus Samuelsson’s new restaurant, as well as the opening season for the Grotto Bay Beach Resort’s new subterranean cave spa.”
We may not be the best, (is some peoples opinion) but we’re in the top ten Share this video with friends/family who are overseas…Trust me, they’ll love you for it.
Gotta love these surveys.
Well done BTA for getting this sort of coverage. Just what is needed.
Well..the water is immaculate and does not burn the eyes…the shark …generally speaking do not bother you unless your around their plate at dinnertime…..mermaid swim with the whales and are quite frisky ….they don’t hold back…treasure can still be found after a storm but keep your cards close to your chest….oh yes…we have our own rum too…some venture…the best…
Yup…
New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Conde Nast and now Hottest Destination List. Summer tourism numbers better even though Bermuda spending a lot less to advertise and we don’t have the flights like before. Heaven forbid, Bermuda making progress. Everyone recognizing it, except the people of Bermuda.
Couldn’t agree more @Hotcrossbuns!
And I’d put the Wall Street Journal piece ahead of the USA Today Hot List in terms of prominence. USA Today is wide reaching — which is nice — but WSJ targets a consumer more likely to arrive by air and more likely to spend heavily on their vacation.
“Everyone recognizing it, except the people of Bermuda.”
That should be, some of the people. “Some can’t see the trees for the forest”
Why the dislikes in the first two posts? Spooky!

Sometimes it is hard to see the forest for the trees but it is up to us who can to educate those that can’t or more so refuse to.

It is up to us to educate those that can’t see the forest for the trees. It has been a hard 5 or 6 years for some of us and it’s not that easy to see rainbows when you’ve lost your home because you have lost a job.It takes two incomes to run the average mid income family and that’s without they trimmings.
I love Cup Match, but it pollutes the island with too many drunks.
