Clarien Congratulates Iron Kids Triathlon Winners
Clarien Bank Limited congratulated the winners of the 27th Annual Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon which was held on Saturday, June 20.
The Iron Kids Triathlon began in 1988 as a Gibbons Company event and was held at Shelly Bay Beach. Now hosted by Clarien at Clearwater, the event consists of a true swim, bike and run competition for junior triathletes, ages 7 – 15.
The event includes two competitive categories: 1] Ages 7 – 10, which consists of a 100 meter swim, 2.5 mile bike and 0.5 mile run; and 2] Ages 11 – 15, which consists of a 200 meter swim, 5 mile bike and 1 mile run. In addition, kids ages 3 – 6 also participate in a noncompetitive, abbreviated version of the course for fun, known as the Tiny Tots division, which consists of a 10 meter swim, 250 meter bike and 50 meter run.
Every Iron Kids participant receives a finisher’s medal, with top awards going to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the Triathlon age group categories. Clarien congratulates the following 2015 overall Iron Kids triathlon winners who received funds that will be placed in an Iron Kids Account:

The Iron Kids Account is a savings account designed just for youth. It is available to children from birth until the age of 18 and features a debit card and eBanking view access. The Iron Kids account is easy to use for depositing money and tracking transactions. The account balance is capped at $10K [Bermuda Dollars] at a 2% interest rate [rate is subject to change].
