Extra Ferry Service For Heroes Weekend Events

[Updated] To assist with transportation to the National Heroes’ Day Carnival festivities in Dockyard, the Ferry Bermudian will leave Hamilton at 2am, and will then leave Dockyard at approximately 9:00am.

A spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine and Ports would like to advise the public that to assist with transportation to the National Heroes’ Day Carnival festivities in Dockyard, the Ferry Bermudian will make one trip at 2 am from Hamilton to Dockyard on the 13th and leave Dockyard at approximately 9:00 am returning to Hamilton and leaving Hamilton again at 11:30 am to Dockyard.

“The Department of Marine and Ports will operate the normal Saturday service using the Cecil Smith and provide two extra trips at 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm from Dockyard.

  • Leaving Hamilton – 2:00 AM
  • Arrive Dockyard – 2:30 AM
  • Leaving Dockyard – 9:00 AM
  • Arrive Hamilton – 9:35 AM
  • Leaving Hamilton – 11:30 AM

Update 5.14pm: A spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation would like to advise the public that there will be the following change to bus service out of Dockyard as a result to the Dockyard Carnival celebrations that will occur on Saturday, June 13th .

“All buses leaving Dockyard between 11:20 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. will depart from the Dockyard Terminal on Pender Road.”

    .This should have been at Clearwater anyway. West get cruise ships. Do they really need extras. And to think of all the space and stretch of road and multiple beaches.
