Photos & Video: Powerboat Practice Racing
Powerboat racing enthusiasts headed down to Ferry Reach on Sunday afternoon [May 31] to watch the unofficial start of the 2015 racing season, with approximately six boats ranging in the different classes taking the opportunity to do some practice fun runs in front of the gathered crowd.
The Bermuda Powerboat Association season was due to start a number of weeks ago and it was a planned race day at Ferry Reach today, however due to circumstances, racing was called off by officials.

PowerBoat racing will be revived when we get some ppl behind the wheel that are not scared to drive their so called ‘fast boats’!!!
Driving a boat at high speeds is not as easy as it looks.
Nice to see more then a couple boats!
I think govt, yes I know they have no money; but maybe give break on duty or something to help revive one of Bermudas most watched sports..
Why bother with the 10 knot sign if the cops won’t enforce it.. Has that stupid law been lifted all of a sudden? Or can I just put a number on the side of my boat and go as fast as I want?
There are sanctioned practice and race days, agreed upon with M&P and the police. Become a member and register your boat…
