Pacers Track Club Win Five More Medals
Five more medals were captured on Saturday [July 18] by members of the Bermuda Pacers Track Club who continued to compete at the 10th Annual United Age Group Track Coaches Association’s Track and Field Championships at West Chester University in Pennsylvania at the John A. Farrell Stadium.
Sakari Famous won the 15-16 Girls High Jump 15-16 gold medal with a top leap of 1.72m, while a silver and bronze medal were won during the 13-14 Boys 3000 Meter Run. Jayden Ming won the silver clocking a time of 10:03.82 while Ryan Outerbridge won the bronze in a time of 10:17.63.
Asia-Leigh Hollis won the 9-10 Girls Long Jump bronze medal with a top leap of 4.16m while Zakayza Parson leaped 4.77m during the 11-12 Girls Long Jump to earn a silver medal.
Hollis recorded the fastest 9-10 Girls 100 Meter Dash preliminary time of 14.56 while Parsons clocked the fastest 11-12 Girls 100m preliminary time of 13.28.
Selah Tuzo advanced to the 11-12 Girls 400 Meter Dash finals when she finished with the 8th fastest qualifying time of 1:05.07. Taylor Hines clocked 1:01.78 on her way to finishing 6th in the 13-14 Girls 400 Meter Dash while Clevonte Lodge advanced to the finals of the 13-14 Boys 400 Meter Dash with a time of 59.07 in the preliminaries.
The 15-16 Girls 400 Meter Dash saw Ali Boylan finish 7th with a time of 1:03.16 while Arron Jacobs finished 3rd during the 15-16 Boys 400 Meter Dash recording a time of 52.47.
