Pacers Win Medals Competing In Pennsylvania
Members of the Bermuda Pacers Track Club began to compete at the 10th Annual United Age Group Track Coaches Association’s Track and Field Championships on Friday [July 17] at West Chester University in Pennsylvania at the John A. Farrell Stadium and saw the Pacers capture two medals and have four runners advance to finals.
Selah Tuzo captured the Pacers’ first medal of the championships when she finished first in the 11-12 Girls 1500 Meter Run, winning gold with a time of 5:12.25.
Jayden Ming captured a silver medal when he finished second in the 13-14 Boys 1500 Meter Run clocking 4:42.26 while Ryan Outerbridge placed fourth in the same race clocking 4:47.66 and Malik Joell placed sixth clocking 4:57.72.
The 11-12 Girls 200 Meter Dash preliminaries saw Zakayza Parson and Aaliah Fadda both advance to the finals. Parsons finished third clocking a time of 27.63 while Fadda finished 7th recording a time of 28.40.
Clevonte Lodge advanced to the 13-14 Boys 200 Meter Dash finals after recording the 7th fastest time of 25.66 during the preliminaries. Taylor Hines advanced to the 13-14 Girls 200 Meter Dash finals with a the 7th fastest preliminary time of 27.06.
Asia-Leigh Hollis finished 10th in the 9-10 Girls 200 Meter Dash clocking a time of 30.96 while Syriah Lottimore finished 16th in the 15-16 Girls 200 Meter Dash with a time of 27.95. Aaron Jacobs clocked a time of 4:30.22 that saw him finish 4th during the 15-16 Boys 1500 Meter Run.
