Court: 24-Year-Old Man Pleads Guilty To Assault
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Aug 18], 24-year-old Princeton Burrows plead guilty to unlawfully assaulting another man in October 2014, causing him bodily harm.
The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Chin that Burrows had struck the other man and had knocked him to the ground.
Speaking for himself, Mr. Burrows told the Magistrate that he had apologized to the victim who was, in fact, his neighbour.
Burrows’s defence counsel told the Magistrate that the victim’s injuries were not serious, and involved puffy lips, minor scratches, and abrasions.
The Magistrate sentenced Mr. Burrows to four months in prison, with time served on remand taken into consideration.
