Day 6 Results: Caribbean Squash Championship
The 2015 Senior Caribbean Team Squash Championships [CASA] continued in the Cayman Islands, with Bermuda’s only team seeing action on the day was in the Men’s Division taking on Guyana.
Bermuda’s Men went down 3 – 2 to Guyana, Bermuda was down 1 – 0 after Jason Khalil defeated Noah Browne 8-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-8, but Chris Stout would draw Bermuda level at 1 – 1 when he defeated Nicholas Narian 11-4, 10-12, 11-3, 11-1.
Patrick Foster then gave Bermuda a 2 – 1 lead when he defeated Richard Chin in a Walk Over. John Fletcher would fall 3-11, 11-4, 13-11, 6-11, 11-7 to Nyron Joseph to level the match at 2 – 2.
In the decider, Micah Franklin would fall in a five setter to Sunil Seth 11-4, 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7.
The Bermuda Women’s Ladies team was defeated by Guyana 4 – 1. Bermuda’s lone win came when Runa Reta defeated Ashley Khalil 11-5, 11-1, 11-2.
Emma Keane went down 11-6, 11-6, 11-7 to Ashley Degroot, Meghan Jackson fell 4-11, 15-13, 11-5, 11-6, Susie Lacie went down 12-10, 11-5, 11-9 to Larissa Wiltshire and Rachel Barnes went down to Mary Fung-A-Fat 11-7, 11-3, 7-11, 11-3.
In the Veterans Division Bermuda defeated Guyana 3 – 2. Eugene Bothello defeated his opponent in a Walk Over to give Bermuda a 1 – 0 lead Jane Chapman made it 2 – 0 when she defeated Zanita Disalle 4-11, 7-11, 11-2, 11-2, 13-11.
Spencer Moss would go down 11-3, 11-6, 11-5, to Ramon Chan-A-Sue and when Alwyn Callender defeated Tony Prentice 6-11, 11-13, 11-13, 11-3, 11-3.
But Bermuda would record the win in the Women’s 50+ Division as Denise Kyme would record a Walk Over victory.
