CedarBridge To Host Peace Day Assembly
CedarBridge Academy will be hosting its fifth annual CBA Annual International Peace Day Assembly, on September 21, 2015. This is aligned with the global theme as designated by the UN this year: Partnerships For Peace-Dignity For All.
The special assembly will be held in the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium from 11am to 11:45. Mrs. Melanie Burrows, coordinator for the Annual Peace Day Assembly stated that this assembly is to celebrate a global initiative of peace.
The Staff, S4 and S3 students will be involved, and the assembly will include prayers of peace for the world and the school, a musical selection, a video clip ‘Journey to Freedom”, followed by Shawnette Somner, Education Office for the Department of Corrections as the guest speaker presentation, culminating with the raising of the Peace Flag.
