October 11, 2015

The America’s Cup will be the focus of an installment in the BUEI Talks series, with host Tucker Thompson and special guest Ranulf Rayner holding a talk titled “The America’s Cup – Past Present & Future” on Wednesday, October 14 at 7.30pm.

The event poster says, “Come out for an evening of America’s Cup action from a different angle — that of an artist. AC host Tucker Thompson will kick off the event followed by world-renowned artist, fountaineer and author, Ranulf Rayner.

“Ranulf will give a brief history of the race and its influence on new technology, illustrated by drawings and fine paintings. An event not to be missed.

“Part proceeds from books and prints will be given to the America’s Cup Endeavour sailing program.”

The presentation will get underway on Wednesday, October 14 at 7.30pm, with a Sushi Happy Hour to be held at Harbourfront from 5.00pm to 6.30pm, with dinner opening at 6.00pm.

Tickets cost $20 for members and $25 for non-members, and are available by calling 294-0204 or visiting BUEI’s Oceans Gift Shop.
