DTC Holds Dog Competition Obedience Trials
The Dog Training Club of Bermuda recently held its Competition Obedience Trials, with dogs competing in categories including Prenovice, Novice, Open, and Utility, including competitors from Canada.
Sharon Smith and her dog Vegas, returning to the island for the first time since 2004, received prizes for the Highest Combined Score in Novice Obedience, the Highest Individual Score [198 1/2 out of 200] and the highest combined score for a visitors dog.
Another regular competitor visiting from Canada, Deb Desjardine, took home the Senior dogs Highest Combined Score. This trophy is awarded to competing dogs over seven years of age.
The highlight was the first time entry of Tanya Jones and her pitbull, Kenzie. They took home the DTC Newbie Award for first time competitors.
