BHI To Host Student & Parent Networking Event
The Bermuda Hospitality Institute will host its annual Student and Parent Networking Event on Wednesday, December 30 at the Elbow Beach Hotel from 5.30pm through 8.00pm, featuring round table discussions followed by a networking session open to all.
The event offers an opportunity for students to meet face-to-face with top industry professionals in discussing career-pathing, young people sharing their experiences, and a prize drawing for an iPad Mini donated by AF Smith, as well as food and soft drinks.
“We purposely create an intimate setting that allows for small group discussions,” said Malika Musson, BHI Executive Director.
“The atmosphere naturally promotes the importance of commitment, dedication and the right attitude that is at the heart of every hospitality business.”
This event is open to graduating high school students, college students, and their parents; the event is by invitation only. An invitation may be secured by email at info@bhi.bm or by phoning 295-5049. The RSVP date has been extended to December 23 to accommodate students returning from school for the holidays.
Industry professionals participating in the event represent restaurant management, transportation, attractions, entrepreneurship, human resource management, spa management, and guest services. Participating professionals include Mark & Ally Tatem, Two & Quarter Studios; Dakia O’Brien, Wild Wing Wednesdays; Thaao Dill, Bermuda College; Dion Ming, Rosa’s; and Jalen Steede, Fairmont Southampton.
