Severe Weather Watch Valid [Cancelled]

[Update - Cancelled] The Bermuda Weather Service [BWS] is advising this evening [Dec 10] that the Island is currently under a “Severe Weather Watch.”

“Over the course of this evening, Bermuda can expect to experience thunderstorms, elevated winds, possible tornado activity and other related inclement weather activity,” a government spokesperson said.

“Residents are encouraged to follow the latest forecast for detailed information on conditions likely to affect Bermuda and the surrounding marine area.

“This is available by dialing 977, 9772 or by logging on to www.weather.bm.”

Update 6.40pm: The warning was just cancelled!

    Big difference between a weather advisory, a weather watch & a weather warning.

    The advisory catagory is the lowest level. The warning is the highest.
