Harness Racing & Best Of Three Stakes Results
Harness Pony Racing at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street saw the second half of racing hosting the Best of Three Stakes.
In the first Best of Three – Three Year Old race Simsfield Hardtimes with Ryan Burrows in the bike clocked a winning time of 1:06/3, while IC’s Overextended and Charles Whited Jr. clocked 1:08/3.
Race One of the Best of Three – Four Year Olds saw Pocket de Gold with Philip Correia in the bike clock a winning time of 1:06/0, Custard the Dragon and Andy Stoneham finished second in 1:08/1, while Inwood’s Generation with Casey Truran in the bike finished third recording a time of 1:08/2 and A Touch of Red and Ryan Manders finished fourth with a time of 1:08/3.
Race One for the Aged Ponies was an exciting race, with horses and bikes coming within centimeters of each other. GV Crystal Ball with Andrea Westerfield crossed the line first with a time of 1:05/3, IC’s Shakedown and Philip Correia were ruled second with the time of 1:05/3, while Abby’s Dream and Casey Truran was third in 1:06/1 and Brona’s Mike with Lucas Bridges in the bike clocked 1:07/2.
