Field Hockey: Ravens, Swallows & Wildcats Win
Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, the Bermuda Hockey Federation had three matches played at the National Sports Center with a total of 14 goals scored this weekend
Longtails 0 Ravens 6
The Ravens scored six unanswered goals in their 6 – 0 win over the Longtails, Jessica Hollis opened the scoring with a Penalty Corner goal in the 16th minute, Megan Troake doubled the lead in the 42nd minute scoring a Field Goal. A Penalty Corner goal off the stick of Georgia Harris in the 51st minute made the score 3 – 0, Troake would score her second Field Goal of the game in in the 53rd minute, before Harris would complete her hat-trick with Field Goals in the 65th and 67th minutes.
Bluebirds 0 Wildcats 1
The lone goal of this game came in the 5th minute, it was a Field Goal off the stick of Tihana Booth as the Wildcats defeated the Bluebirds 1 – 0.
Canaries 2 Swallows 5
The Canaries and Swallows closed out the day with the Swallows coming away with a 5 – 2 victory. Kelli Nusum opened the scoring for the Swallows with a Penalty Corner goal in the 3rd minute, in the 26th minute it was 2 – 0 to the Swallows as Sarah Tieman scored a Field Goal. two minutes later Elizabeth Stewart scored a Field Goal for the Swallows to make it 3 – 0 and then in the 32nd minute it was 4 – 0 to the Swallows with a Penalty Corner goal off the stick of Anefa Burke. The Canaries would pull a goal back in the 35th minute with a Field Goal off the stick of Abigail MacEachin, four minutes into the second half the Canaries had the ball in the back net again with a Field Goal off the stick of Lisa Robichaud making it 4 – 2, but the Swallows would score the final goal of the game which came in the 67th minute, a Field Goal off the stick of Helen Clark.
