Video: ’10 Most’ Spotlights Michael Dunkley
The “10 Most Fascinating People of Bermuda 2015″ series continues today with the ninth video release featuring Premier Michael Dunkley.
Host Lisa Pickering introduces Premier Dunkley by saying, “He stepped into power during a time of controversy in May 2014 and his time at the House since has been no easy ride.
“Known to some as the ‘Milkman’, OBA Premier Michael Dunkley received his fair share of criticism and praise in 2015. He ended the year favourably in the polls despite disapproval over government and Union relations, a surge in crime, and questionable government contracts, and the JetGate scandal continues to surface.
“Despite strong political opposition, Premier Dunkley has steamed ahead, publicly boasting economic growth and the much touted America’s Cup events.”
The video was produced by Lisa Pickering and Burnt House Productions and is sponsored by CellOne, while Ms Pickering’s dress and accessories are by Atelerie.
This is the ninth video release in the the “Most Fascinating Person of 2015″ series — and the final person in the series will be revealed next week, and the entire program will be also be aired on CITV.
Bermuda has no shortage of interesting people, so if you want to suggest a candidate to Ms. Pickering for this year’s list, please feel free to email her at bermybios@gmail.com!
The Photo Op Premier in his favorite place, facing a camera!
So was Marc Bean’s piece a photo op too? Or any of the other PLP persons on the list? Please….give it a rest.
Yeah, Ewart and Paula never did photo ops
Well that was the plan in “When Voices Rise”.
I’ve enjoyed these pieces but wish they had stayed away from politicians.
I agreed.
This whole series started off so well despite some terrible audio shifting between Lisa and the person being interviewed and other editing blunders. Why the producers turned to politicians baffles me and spoils the whole thing in my opinion. Fail.
Is this the same person that, when someone handed in a petition forgot that his mic was on and said,,”What a waste of F!@#ing film”.
Mmmmmmm
We really need to distinguish between “fascinating” and “ubiquitous”.
Politicians are not fascinating or even interesting people.
Please don’t EVER include Bean and Dunkley on your list.
Johnny Barnes is fascinating…..
Politicians are just doing their politician job….not fascinating. I can’t comprehend how you came to the conclusion that a politican just doing their job was fascinating.
He’s taking the poor people down and trying to push us to England to live so he can rule our country with rich people. Smh
Well that was the plan in “When Voices Rise”.
The poor people will be pushing themselves down if they continue to listen to the BS that you regurgitate. You are reciting crap from a pamphlet handed to you 50 years ago. Get up to speed.
What you consider as “crap” fifty years ago, helped to shape our society today, and the progress continues.
Onion Juice, and how do you feel about Marcs comments relating to women!
Doubtful that OJ will reply as it would be almost impossible to make it a race issue.
Yawn.
The one thing about premier Dunkeley is that , he ain’t no John Swan !
Another good interview in this series. Well done ’10′. I particularly liked the family photos. What some fail to realize (even though it is stated in the beginning of each video) is that “each individual featured on this list shared one thing in common – passion, determination and perseverance in the face of setbacks.” Get over yourselves. Of course both Marc Bean and Michael Dunkley would be likely selections for the first run of this series. They just happen to be politicians but that doesn’t define them. Sheesh!
People actually clicked on this video? couldn’t bore me more.
