Car Parts Stolen & Man Arrested After Chase

A 50-year-old man was arrested following a high-speed chase and in a separate incident an unknown suspect/s stole several car parts from a bronze colored BMW which was parked in the yard of a Bakery Lane Garage, the police said this morning.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:35pm on Monday, 22nd February Police had reason to stop a male driving a motorcar near the junction of Elliot Street and Princess Street, Pembroke.

“The driver, a 50 year old Devonshire man who initially refused to stop for police, lead officers on a high-speed chase throughout the North Hamilton area, before he was eventually caused to stopped on St. Augustine Hill near the junction with Parsons Road.

“The man was arrested on several traffic related offenses and is due to appear before the courts in the near future.”

“Meantime, between 6:00pm on 19th February and 8:00am on 22nd February, an unknown suspect/s stole several car parts from a bronze colored BMW, which was parked in the yard of a Bakery Lane Garage.

“Police are appealing with anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”

    The driver attempting to get away in a motor-car, at noon, in the city, his chances might have been twenty percent, good work, well done for all officers involved. Hope-fully, if found guilty, part of the penalty will benefit the community and give a sense of redemption to the offender.

    Someone of no name is suspected of stealing parts off a car…if parts are missing without consent it is likely they are stolen….I had an English teacher that would look at this conjecture and…it would hit the fan…but not to worry…I won’t tell her if you don’t..
