Suspects Flee After Resident Challenges Them
Police attended a report of a home invasion in Paget early Saturday morning, which saw two male suspects gain entry into the residence by smashing a glass door and then confronting the male and female residents, with the male resident challenging the suspects, causing them to flee the scene on foot.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 4:00am on Saturday 27th February, Police attended a report of a home invasion in the South Road Paget Area.
“On police arrival, it was reported that two unknown males gained entry into the residence by smashing a glass door and confronted the male and female victims, before making demands for money.
“The suspects were challenged by the male victim, causing them to flee the scene on foot.
“The first suspect was described as black male, 5’ 11” tall wearing a dark coloured hoodie and armed with a hammer. The second suspect was only described as being a black male.
“Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”

Why does it always have to involve bad parenting??? half of these situations that occur are foster kids shoved from home to home or relative to relative. Most of the situations involve no parents at all.
They are looking for help and or attention from anyone who will give it to them. It’s not mothers babying their sons/daughters, it’s choices these kids are making regardless of their upbringing. There are kids from 2 parent homes that make bad choices and there are kids from single parent homes making excellent choices. Lets Stop the blame and deal with the real issue that Bermuda needs help.

No place is safe! Anyone who thinks different is naive. Crime has always existed in Bermuda although at times it was on a smaller scale. When I was a child people would leave their doors unlocked but during that time tourism was flourishing and instead they would rob hotels and vacation places all the time. Four decades later there are less tourists so they rob locals and they love condos. The complex I live in has cameras, but they still try and steal bikes and break in the end units. One unit was robbed around lunch time while workmen were next door renovating a kitchen. Took all the lady’s jewellry, a brand new IPod and new unopened DVDs. They do not care, they want stuff to take to the gold exchange and they are way more nervy!
