St. George’s Parish Council hosted a Seniors Tea on Saturday [Feb 27] at the Tempest Restaurant on Water Street in St. George’s, with a number of seniors from the east end coming out to enjoy the afternoon.

A number of dignitaries were in attendance including Governor George Fergusson, Mayor Quinell Francis, Minister Michael Fahy, Minister Bob Richards, Senator Renee Ming, MP Kenneth Bascome, as well as the members of the St. George’s Parish Council.

    Hopefully all the Seniors that attended enjoyed themselves, with those property owners present taking the opportunity to vent their anger (to the Minister of Finance) in regard to the horrendous %age increases in their Land Tax Demand. Yeah!

      Sadly not too many Seniors in attendance – and truly, the Ministers attending do seem rather out of place.
