Dillas, Walikraam Win Match Play Championships
Jarryd Dillas and Tariqah Walikraam were crowned the 2016 Bermuda Match Play Championships Champions at the Mid Ocean Golf Course.
Dillas defeated Mark Phillips 5&4, in their 36 hole battle. Both players went back and forth in the opening 18 holes, but Dillas got a lead during the second 18 and was up by 5 at the 14th and closed out the match.
Walikraam came from 6 down on the first 18 to win 2&1 over the defending champion Ebonie Burgess. Walikraam turned things around on the 14th hole during the first 18 when her drive ended up four feet from the pin winning the hole and pulling within five, from there her round improved eventually pulling level and then pulling out the win on the 35th hole.
Meanwhile Gray Yancey was crowned the 2016 Bermuda Match Play Championships Senior Division Champion after he defeated Terry Mullan 6&4.
Tariqah kinda gave Ebonie a lesson in basic golfing !
