Hamilton Docks Are “Back To Normal Service”
Polaris Holding thanked everyone for their “support and patience over the last week,” and said that the Hamilton Docks are “back to normal service,” and the schedule is as follows:
- 1. Friday 18 March – Oleander to be worked until it is finished.
- 2. Normal Gate – 8:00 – 4:30
- 3. Saturday 19 March – Bermuda Islander to be worked until fully discharged
- 4. Saturday Gate – 8:00 – 4:30

Great news! Why are they NOT staying open later tonight as there are so many people without there goods needed?

you read if “gates close at 4.30″ means no truck deliveries off docks. plus it don’t take that much time to OFF LOAD such small cargo ships

Hope it is regular time and not overtime for Saturday and after hours. There has been a lot of kind Bermudians picking up trash that should have been done by the Trash Collectors.

NOBODY should be paid Overtime.Are you kidding me.This was not a strike so they say….why didn’t management step in and do something…you put this country through hell and you are still not happy!!!!This totally unfair and a slap in our faces…after all you put us through.

Initially some viewed the many hundreds of workers as being a part of a labour dispute, as the days went by, the minds of some were enlightened tha t this was about having the right to work in your own country and not have to compete with folks from other countries here on work permits. The minds of some were further enlightened that there truly is a division among the people, by race and by place of birth. Some after being here a number of ye ars feel they are entitled to status, unfortunately, this small island can only accomodate a few, not ten thousand plus.
