Three Men, One With Gun, Rob 62 Yr Old Woman
Three men wearing masks entered the home of a 62-year-old woman at around 2.50am this morning, with one of the suspects brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanding money and jewellery before escaping on foot.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:52am on this morning, [09-Mar] police responded to a report of an aggravated burglary at a residence in the Radnor Close, Hamilton Parish area.
“It was reported that three male suspects entered the home of a 62 year-old woman, with one of the suspects brandishing what appeared to be a firearm.
“The suspects demanded money and jewellery before making good their escape on foot with a quantity of each. There were no reported injuries.
- Suspect 1: was described as being a tall male (over 6ft), light skinned complexion, wearing a royal blue coloured hoodie.
- Suspect 2: was described as being a short, skinny, young male with brown skinned complexion, wearing a dark hoodie, carrying what was believed to be a firearm.
- Suspect 3: was also described as being a short, skinny young male, with brown skinned complexion, wearing a dark hoodie.
“All three suspects wore masks and spoke with Bermudian accents,” the police added.
“Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who may have seen any suspicious individuals or vehicles in the Radnor Road / Radnor Close, Hamilton parish area between 2:30am and 3am Wednesday to call the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”

This type of crime is becoming worse and worse, one of these days a culprit will be seriously seriously harmed by the home occupier. A few years ago a burglar got the worse deal when he got beaten badly after being seen snoopi ng around people,s homes in Devonshire, he was taken to hospital by ambulan ce. I think the Courts will have to attach longer probationery periods to persons after they have served time, with ankle bracelets and curfews. If probation is five years, so be it. If the motive was because they were hun gry, please go and see financial assistance…and I trust that the departme nt has a concerned and copassionate spirit and not be told to come back in a week for an answer.

Not everyone that steals has a drug habit. The generations of today want things but don’t like to work for it. Going through all these comments, some make sense and some don’t.
