BSRA Names Micah Franklin As Touring Pro
The Bermuda Squash Racquets Association [BRSA] has announced the appointment of Micah Franklin as their new BSRA Touring Squash Professional.
Patrick Foster, BSRA Director of Squash, said, “Most of you probably know Micah as a former Junior player here at the BSRA, a former teenage racquet stringer here at the BSRA, all round nice kid here at the BSRA! and now our Bermuda National Champion and current World Ranked #173.
“Micah has an impressive squash resume including two Bermuda National titles, a Caribbean Team Championships title, a Caribbean Junior title, Island Games Bronze medalist, a highest World Ranking of 155 and two PSA World Tour Quarter Final appearances this year in Austria and Canada.
“Micah also famously carried the Bermuda flag leading Team Bermuda out at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games in front of a crowd of 80’000 and millions more watching on TV.
“Micah will begin his new role from June 1, 2016 and will be available for individual and group lessons to BSRA Members immediately.
“As you can gather from his job title the BSRA is supporting Micah in remaining on the PSA World Tour whilst basing himself this side of the Atlantic, competing in North America and balancing a busy coaching schedule here the BSRA.
“We wish him all the best in his new role and welcome him warmly back home. Micah’s new BSRA email address will be available to you all soon in order to start making reservations.”
