Live Updates: Airport Project Protest/Presentation
[Updated] Minister of Finance Bob Richards will be hosting a meeting at 5.30pm today [May 18] at the Bermuda National Gallery at City Hall for OBA Members to hear “his presentation of the new terminal at the LF Wade International Airport,” and the MOVE group is calling for concerned residents to protest outside the BNG in advance of the meeting, saying “we want to appear vigilant that we oppose the redevelopment in numbers.”
“Our intention is to mobilize as many people as possible to protest and share information via flyers,” the protest announcement said.
Update 3.28pm: The City of Hamilton said that “at the suggestion of the Bermuda Police Service” and “due to unforeseen circumstances,” City Hall will be “closing at 4pm today for access by the general public.”
The City also noted they have a “policy that does not allow for events of a political nature to be held at City Hall” and said they “regret the fact that one of its tenants was unaware of this policy.” Read the full statement from the City here.
Update 4.15pm: While have moved to a live updating format for efficiency’s sake. As of this writing, police can be seen at City Hall.
Protests are integral to a functioning democracy.
However, protestors should not stop others who re genuinely interested in hearing about this project.
So please respect others rights while practicing yours.
Barring members of the public who are not OBA members is the ultimate form of protest in this case.
Bob has had plenty of such meetings for members of the public who are not OBA members. God forbid that he should just reserve one for his party’s membership.
I find it hilarious that such a small amount of the usual plp rent a crowd showed up to protest, just more proof that the plp CANT get their muppets out in strong numbers, unless they bring race into the subject matter!!! What does that tell everyone???
Whenever you have anything to say, it’s tells me your “stuck on stupid”
Westpalm lol
The PLP will win the next election. They will build a new airport. It will be budgeted at $500m. It will cost in excess of $1bn. There will be no protests.
Only them with your your desires can / will believe that
I hope you are wrong but suspect you are absolutely right. This is a big project and there is plenty of opportunity for shenanigans. That is why the PLP are so upset. They had a *go* at the waterfront but that won’t be happening anytime soon, so the airport is the next big one. They loved the Hospital…errr…wing of the hospital. I look forward to what the COI have to say on that project
Since there have been “plenty of such meetings for members of the public who are not OBA members” what more needs to be said that is specific to OBA members?
I’ve seen comments regarding the special meeting for taxi drivers and I imagine they spoke about their unique position in the community and maybe things that would not interest or pertain to people who ARE NOT taxi drivers.
What in the world is there to say to OBA members about this project that does not pertain to the people who were addressed in the previous PUBLIC meetings?
People keep saying there have been x amount of public meetings…….so why do OBA members need a special meeting about an issue that has been addressed publicly so many times?
The OBA continues to make moves that have the appearance of exclusiveness and divisiveness.
My theory is that they don’t want to be the government any more……..I think some of them were shocked they got in in the first place.
Much to the chagrin of many in the OBA and the PLP they have to be in for the next 6 years to fulfill the promises they made when they were running their 2012 campaign and to complete the projects (read schemes) they have started since they took over.
Completely reasonable given that they want to have an orderly meeting with their membership before the inevitable shouting down of the public meetings.
There is exactly one valid criticism of the Airport project and that is the lack of tendering/bidding and nobody is more concerned about that than the Membership. Unfortunately that is being drowned out by the knee jerk reactions of others.
Is this a good time to throw de race card, excluding de Surrogates !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Onion Juice” only whites play the race card and have been doing so for hundreds of years.
And in fact only the most vile white racists and nationalists in the US even use that phrase.
Are you in league with them?
It was a racist dog whistle crafted during the Regan era expressly for that purpose: to inhibit blacks from having a conversation on that very same issue.
But as you can see I am not inhibited one bit.
Det yoo Oowart?
Hahah
Hiding behind the pseudonym “truth teller” while you spew such nonsense shows how cowardly you are. I have been and know many others who have been on the receiving end of racist remarks from black people. And let me tell you that I do not hate anyone because of their skin color. And why would you be inhibited when you hide the real you! Truth Teller??? Really?? Joke!
Truth teller ha. How is oak bluffs? You don’t fool anyone we know exactly who you are. Stay there. You aren’t welcome here.
I recall an open meeting on pathways that was shouted down by a few so no one could be informed. This is a reasonable response. Open meetings will come, if they are shouted down again at least some will have had the opportunity to listen maturely.
The pot calling the kettle….. Remember that made up story you told about your friend walking past the protesters on the hill to get lunch, and how you pointed out she was a WHITE BORN BERMUDIAN and someone told her to go back home…..A CROC OF S**T !!!!
The 100 puppets of Tweed,PLP.
You are 100% correct liarliar… on the other hand we as the people won’t be able to get the dialogue because it’s closed to the media and public. I truly understand the hecklers but the media free press WOW!!! My 2 cents
I guess they found de $18 Million !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMFAO
If the meeting was opened to all the same rude ignorant people would shout everyone else down as usual…..they are not interested in democracy just don’t what they were told to do…
Bermuda is selling its soul on a daily basis, soon we’ll be having to sell our houses next because of some sort of loophole. Smfh
oh well….here we go…um going home after work….can’t risk being seen showing up and being confronted with this ‘protest’…. mission accomplished!
Now I know how it felt to live in Segregation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t see the general public getting invited to BIU meetings with the public transport service or other publicly funded organizations.
And I don’t see de general public don’t get invited to Mid-Ocean, R.B.Y.C. and especially America’s Cup meetings and functions, which by the way is $77 MILLION PUBLIC FUNDED.
These are elected Dreamers who where elected by de public and are being paid by de public to represent de public’s BEST interest.
Is your problem with wealth? RBYC and Mid Ocean will gladly accept your membership if you can come up with the $$$.
Well they had a 400 year start, so I get it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boring.
Facts often are!!
To you its boring, but to others its reality.
It’s an embarrassing Historical event to you but de benefits suit you well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want money too
Anyone can join MOC, RBYC, Tucker’s Point, the OBA or the PLP, your mate Ewart is a member of some of the above establishments. Not inviting the general public is the point of membership. Nothing being said at this members meeting has not already been said in the public forums and town hall meetings. You really think they are that stupid to divulge sensitive information like this? It’s more of a way for the OBA to gauge feelings towards the development from within. Alaska Hall meeting were not open to the public during there tenure or now. Do I personally agree with this airport deal No I don’t, now is not the time but at the same time I am not going to turn this into a mud slinging match or fan the flames of useless undirected energy when our little rock in the Atlantic has way bigger issues
At least make sense.
@Bermy, Education for you,
BIU means Bermuda Industrial Union, = Union Members,
Public funded organizations, = Public funded organizations members
Airport = Bermy People = ALL Bermudians born and Unborn.. GOT it
I think you need to simplify it more so Bermy can get it.
LMFAO
Where does money to pay BIU members come from?
Publicly funded.
How patronising for the poor people who actually lived through segregation.
And those poor people are actually living through de same Bull S!@# 50 years later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pathetic.
Its not segregation keeping you down now, it’s yourself.
Tell that to de Black Bermudian Contractors who built this island and cant get jobs, Build a Better Bermuda my @$$ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never Ending Pity Party!
Poor you and your people! You had 14 years to do something and FAILED,,,and you are still failing!! Pathetic.
You always will because you refuse to let yourself free.
You do not need to protest, people know how you feel. There are people that want to hear what the minister has to say and make informed judgements for themselves. Shouting and handing out pieces of paper will get you nowhere with people seeking full knowledge.
Nowhere is exactly where they want to be.
If de media are not allowed to be present, and de clause is there no functions to be held concerning ANY religious or political matters and de police are not allowing anyone from de PUBLIC who is not a U.B.P. member, of matters pertaining to a PUBLIC PROJECT, borders Communism and Dictatorship, while de subjects who broke de clause are being protected by de law defenders !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if this was Doc that did this.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
LMFAO
Do you use “de” for a particular reason. I think you do.
He is de-ranged! Haha
Ya mama

Legend!
c’mon guys – the Liverpool game will still be on !
I’m disappointed that I have to become a member of the OBA to hear Bob’s presentation. I am unsure of my feelings on this project and maybe this info would help me out. Why do I have to pledge allegiance to any one party before I get to hear any information? Are they accepting new members today?
Go to the dark side. Someone will hold your hand when you sign up.
What’s disappointing is Town Hall Meetings organized by the Government are there to provide THAT EXACT information….. You know the ones that a few get up and disrupt so they can not be completed…. so now you cry for the need of information???? Sorry, the PLP and their actions to PREVENT information being spread are WRONG on this one… and you DO NOT have to pledge any allegiance to EITHER of the two Parties….
Wow, you can’t make this up….
Why are people so angry… Toleratate!
I asked a question and genuinely wanted an answer. The point has been taken that the other meeting was disrupted, I forgot about that, but that was on Immigration. So that part makes sense I guess but will I genuinely be turned away for not being a member but having honest curiousity. When will they have a public meeting on the airport deal and what will they say in this meeting that won’t be public.
Did you attend any of the public meetings held thus far on the airport by Bob Richards? I did. I have no doubt there will be more too.
Look at the pictures… this has achieved ALL that it set out to achieve…. AS a non OBA/PLP member it is on me to attend Government meetings on issues in my country of my concern. When I am denied that by protesting individuals… I do not get to criticize private Meetings that are probably PRIVATE so as NOT to have the same interruptions… I see nothing wrong with any organization having private meetings between their members….
Now IF that organization ran a PUBLIC entity and DID NOT host public meetings; than I would see the problem…. If people want to complain about NOT getting enough information… blame the protesters that halted the damn public meetings…. but NOOOOO because them protesters where… nuff said…
Again propaganda to achieve ONE affect….
SMH
There hv been several public meeting you could hv attended. Nothing different is going to be said in this members only meeting
Except that Bob has already had a lot of public presentations about the project up and down the land, and he’ll probably continue to have them. There is no need to pledge allegiance to the OBA. It just looks like they want to have a separate meeting for the members, which is one of many.
check their website , under Miniplatform.. liars
Be respectful people…all people have a right to be heard!
But Bob can be heard any day of the week. What makes this so special to be held behind closed doors?
Anything ‘GATE’ has to be held behind closed doors !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought you liked them staying in the closet?
you would know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No he can’t. These same PLP supporters show once again that they simply want to disrupt and shout down any talks on the subject. It is the equivalent to little children putting fingers in their ears and yelling “I can’t hear you!” They don’t even want to be educated. The chiefs have told them what their opinion is and they simply line up like lemmings.
Makes me realize we should have been protesting our butts off when the PLP was sending us down the rabbit hole. We should feel ashamed for not making more noise over the absolute worst thing in Bermuda for Bermudians
So are you upset that Bermudians are protesting this Airport Project sending us down the rabbit hole, or is it who’s protesting… Clear it up for me please.
The PLP/UBP sent us down the rabbit hole bra….smh!
And now U.B.P. are covering de hole up to dig a bigger one.
You use ‘de’ so much in your posts that it seems fake, i.e. you pretend to be a son of soil Bermudian when in actual fact I imagine your are some entitled, had an easy life Bermudian college graduate with a IB job kid who throws on the accent to fake his way when around other Bermudians.
how do you know that this will send us down the rabbit hole? Misinformation spread by those motivated first and foremost by political objectives????
OK there was no tender… By itself this doesn’t mean we got a bad deal but it is certainly something warranting a better explanation than has been received so far.
Do we need a new airport? Well everyone has an opinion on this one but there certainly has been plenty of evidence to suggest that we do. I do have to laugh when members of the public with no knowledge or experience of running an airport and their limited view of publicly accessible areas of the airport profess that we don’t need one.
The only argument that matters to me is are we getting value for money. Do the benefits (jobs, increased efficiency of core infrastructure, etc.) outweigh the costs (forfeited operating profits, revenue guarantees, subsidies etc.). Seems like those in opposition to the airport don’t want to engage in intelligent debate.
Bermuda and us Bermudians deserve better from our opposition. I want them to hold the government to task based on fact and intelligent debate but instead I get rhetoric.
Our airport could been renovated in stages. Its not the type of airport where people are laid over for long periods nor is it an airport in which you transfer. You come and go and it is shut down overnight. If this is a way to attract overseas business no need they don’t spend anytime at the airport because they travel via private planes forthe most.if you attraction at the airport put a cover over that junk yard of a dump which is a sore eye when flying in.
I am sorely upset that we were not protesting from 2007-2012. It should have been the most important thing that was ever protested. I have no problem with is currently being protested I just wish these same people cared when we were going down the rabbit hole from 2007-2012. They could have changed the fate of Bermuda for Bermudians.
If there were no protests then no one cared.
We were scared of what the people in power of the PLP and their idiot supporters would do.
And now it’s all ‘different’ because a couple of dozen misfits show up with home-made signs at City Hall.
The ‘planned protest’ at the airport today? Not a single person showed up. Just the Police, there to keep the ‘crowd’ under control.
Exactly, and why didn’t these same people care about the most important thing to happen to Bermuda in 30 years? Our debt is why everything on this island is suffering. Yet nobody cared. Isn’t that interesting? And that is exactly why I call bs on all this Bermuda for Bermudians campaign. The truth is, if they REALLY were Bermuda for Bermudians then they would have held their elected officials responsible for the debt. SO I call BS on all of this.
Sara, I hate to say it but a lot of Bermudians,do not have a clue what politics are all about….
I protested a number of things during those years. The Uighurs included. We were basically told they didn’t care what we thought and could do what they wanted. “This too shall pass”.
Yea, it’s a real shame none of these people protested the more than doubling of the Berkley contract, the Court Building, The Grand Atlantic, sale of properties to government quangos for a large profit, the over priced wharf that required as much to fix it as build it, the over priced and totally unnecessary emissions control facility, etc etc etc etc
Boom, which is why I am calling BS on all this protesting. You can’t convince me that this is all genuine. If they care now, they would have cared then!
The flyer clearly states that this is a “presentation of the new terminal”.
Does this mean that the OBA membership will be privy to information that has not yet been shared with the general public?
I read that to mean that they will get a preview of the new terminal design prior to its release to the public.
Wow.
I don’t support either party, but can only imagine if the PLP had held a meeting for the hospital development prior to its unveiling to the public.
Not a good look.
Only they can understand.
So its okay for PLP to have a meeting for their members about the airport without rhetoric but its not okay when OBA’rs do: DOUBLE STANDARDS AS PER USUAL.SMH
PLP one was a town hall where ALL WERE WELCOMED.
So were all the previous airport town hall meetings by the OBA.
This is to discuss it with their membership.
There is nothing to be revealed that isn’t already in the public domain.
So how would we know if de media are not allowed.
Dreamer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No where does it say this presentation is only for the OBA members it is open to the GENERAL PUBLIC, the likes of you and me so if you want to hear and see go to the meeting.
Members only.
idiotic comment.
Bermudians…… WAKE UP NOW!!!!!!!
Had Enough. At the bottom right of the flyer it states “for members and that membership can be renewed in person today at the OBA headquarters.” i’m pretty sure that means its not open to the public. If it was im sure they’d have a much larger venue.
Can’t you read?
I think ya “Had Enough” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMFAO
I just received reliable information from my cousin that this is a trick and they are really planning to hold the meeting in the departure lounge! So be there I will make up lots of protest placards.
I am working on them now.
Hope you got de “BENNY” as “trumps” over rules!!!hummm
But wait,,, Tweed has to tell you what to write on the posters and then chack de spellin!!
Wahoo…who’s yer cousin? Am I to believe that your cousin has info the rest of us don’t have?
Although the Finance Minister is a member of the OBA ruling party he works for the people and as such any work done for the people should always be shared with all of the people. Membership should only come into play if the issues being discussed are party issues!
I thought this is what the people of bermuda wanted, information. Your getting it and still we need to protest. Would we have all this protesting if the PLP wer doing this project.
No protest of the dockyard docks.
No protest for the mutli million dollar berkely.
No protest for the unaccounted or double payed $800 million
No protest for the uighers.
No protest for Beyoncé.
No protest for port royal.
No protest for the court/police station.
Dang not even a protest when they had to raid the auditor generals office,
Time to be your ownself and stop following the leader.
Actually, I am one of the people and unfortunately because I am not a member I cannot be privy to this information. THat said your first two sentences make no sense. The rest though, I complete agree with you.
Oh boy, some of you are dumb and just follow the PLP. The meeting was organized by the OBA and is for members of the OBA only. It is not a public meeting. Very simple and you can’t / won’t get it.
Wrong, there was a protest for the uighurs and they called us a lynch mob.
Wrong there was a protest for the uighurs and we were called a lynch mob.
Bermudians need to seriously start asking question how they political parties have played them for fools for a long time. trickle down economics , bad education for Bermudians, Health insurance for seniors, jobs, when a question arise on any issue affecting any Bermudians, the left, middle , right wingers of each political parties have the following multiple choice for you
The Answer to your question depends on
A. Race
B. Political affiliation
Google the uighers.
Big massive protest on front street with people screaming “brown must go”.
But that was after the event. There was no Town Hall meeting to discuss whether bringing them here in the first place was a good idea.
Get the fake hunger striker to set up camp!!
Several months ago, members of the public were “barred” from getting information about the new immigration policy. There was an uproar about how could those people stop others from getting this information to make an informed decision. Today, we see the government doing the exact same thing, minus the shouting and signs. They are barring access to information on a public project, and only sharing it with a certain groups of political affiliates. This is discriminatory and shameful. Everyone in this country should have access to this information each and every time information is to be shared, because no matter what you think of the government of the day, it is supposed to be the government doing the business of ALL people, not just OBA members.
check OBA website under mini platform, a consultant wrote it not OBA politicians, liars
100% INACCURATE. There have been town hall meetings where anyone was free to attend. ANYONE. You, me, Bermudian, expat, gay, straight, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on Quinton, you’re better than that. Don’t be a sheep, use that brain the good lord gave you.
Nothing but old people at the protest HAHAHAHAHA….soft!
Ya but de young bucks are just waiting for de drums to sound.
Does Little Big Horn ring a bell, Custer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMFAO
They vote!!
Calgon Air…….Take me away.
Where the smoothie person?
People are angry because we are giving away revenue for the next 30 years. Do we need a new airport? Yes BUT not at the expense of giving away our airport revenue. That airport can be built in stages, costing us far less. What is the rush? We are only serving flights to and from Bermuda. We are not a GATEWAY to the rest of the world. We don’t accommodate overnight or red eye flights nor is there an airport hotel in the plans. As a frequent flyer,i have seen many airports around the world that are amazing but WHO REALLY CARES?? Honestly, I have travelled to the UAE, their airport/flight is amazing but the COUNTRY is BREATH TAKING!! Airport/flight conversation never lasts long. Tourists last memories are never about the airport! We have an old airport now but im always hearing about our Beautiful Island, never about our aging airport!
You do know expenses are attached to revenues right?
And what good are the airport revenues when they have to be used every year to patch up the crumbling airport anyways?
Even if you build it in stages we cannot afford to do so!
Our airport is just as good or better then most of de Caribbean destinations and they STILL surpass us in air arrivals.
Mmmmmm
Actually, most of the top Caribbean destinations have redone or expanded and built new additions to their airports recently, a couple of them actually redoing them with jetways. Past through ours recently and they have a section cordoned off in the American departures area as there is water damage from the roof leaking I am told.
No one gets to keep revenue! They get to keep profit. It takes costs to generate revenue…
Crumbling infrastructure is costly to maintain. Can you say that it would be more cost effective to keep the old airport?
Yes it is a big investment but there are costs to not making the investment.
We have a NEW hospital and we STILL have to wait 3hours in emergency and fly out to Boston !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mmmmmmmmm
You could get in st brendans straight away.
LMFAO!!!!
Sad Ed – Not very funny, albeit, extremely insensitive … Grow up !!
Bermudas small minded another storm Ina tea cup what a joke
Incredible. Thank you plp for creating indoctrinated zombies who will do whatever they are told. So scrap it and let Proactive build it right? Or is it zane?
Cover your ears and yell no no no. Please do not listen to the other side of the story. Put on that shirt, pick up that placard and halt progress.
What a JOKE.
So what if its a closed meeting. No explanation for the angry objects I heard on the radio makes any sense to me….Its not your party…get used to it for krists sake
Its like Obama holding a closed meeting on public affairs open only to demacrats.
The CoH only knew about this event today? It’s been publicised for some time!
F@#% I spilt my rum.
I’m amazed by the number of SUPPORTERS (not actual MEMBERS) that ASSume that they know exactly whats going to be discussed in the MEMBERS only meeting…..Amazing how a tenant could conveniently forget the ‘policy that does not allow for events of a Political nature to be held at City Hall’…….That in itself is “suspect”…..what is so “secretive” that not even the press is allowed in?…..If this deal is ready to be signed or has been signed what’s left to discuss if their minds are already made up to forge ahead? #justcurious……#waitingandwatching……
Only answer IF you KNOW for a FACT other then that there is no need to reply…..
This is just a lead up to others things.
Mike might make the court but he won’t get the slam dunck…………………………
Okay I poured another one. So how many donuts did Glaze sell?
OBA governing style is so great and popular it includes police presence , Repeat Police prescence .. WOW
OBA Miniplatform (check website)

2. Inclusiveness
3.Fairness and Equality
4.Public Service
Public Service:
Political Power belongs to the people
We will work for the benefit of all Bermudians people
We will be a public service government putting you first..
A consultant wrote this.. not the OBA politicians
Perhaps it is the style or mandate of the opposition that requires policing.
How many town hall meetings did the PLP hold ahead of Berkeley, Heritage Wharf # 1, DLB building, Port Royal? None – they just cracked on and did what they wanted. Now the OBA are holding meetings for everything, Airport, immigration reform, dredging, yet they get slammed for it. Why?
The unintended consequence of this so called meeting was that it clearly showed that the base of the UBP/OBA is small and old and leaving by attrition owing to age !
or working their butts off to make a living and thereby helping Bermuda ?!?!
Looking at the pictures, always the same few people in the rent a mob. Does not matter if they are there for PLP, BIU, BPSA, so-called Concerned Citizens. Always the same noisy few.
I doubt very much if a new Airport would last 30 years or even come close, How about maintenance and insurance ,plumbing and wiring will go first, next comes erosion followed by total decay.
As a consequence, we all will be in debt all over again for another 30, that is if we last that long as a nation in debt to another.
We need to repair and up grade what we already have one brick at a time,we can go up one floor with covered car park under, the place does not have to look like a “star wars” palace.
Bermudians have the absolute right to keep and up grade their own airport.
A fancy airport will not do anything for Bermuda , we are what we are, fancy 5 star hospitality works every time, it is called the ” Bermuda experience.” we are an island in the sun.
An Anglo – American seaside place.
“Political Peace and Public Harmony every body”.
I have only read a few co.men’s. ..
Funny how there where no protests over the new hospital for twice the price… and seeing some of the wages paid to non Dr’s on the excutive level… small minds bermuda
Tommy, are you having a laugh ? Politicians have duped the ave Joe the world over – how else do you explain Hitler and Trump or closer to home Lord Pitt’s exposure of the UBP?
I have no issues with people protesting. I do not agree fully with this situation. The issues I do have are the political nature of these protests and there are other things that affect us all even more than this that people could protest about.
1. Government (Under the UBP, PLP and OBA) have not done anything to regulate banks. The banks can charge you whatever interest they like in loans and mortgages, charge whatever fees they like and pay you no interest on your deposits. HSBC charges people with the least amount of money 10% interest on loans and people with the most money 6% interest on loans. How is it right to charge somebody more when they are the poorest? Do we not deserve regulation of banks?
2. Government (Again, under all three Governments) continually allow the costs of health care to spiral out of control by allowing doctors and the hospital, to a lesser extent, to charge what they like. The insurance companies are going to soon be on the verge of not being able to provide health insurance. Where is the regulation we deserve?
3. Where were the protests when the former Government continually overspent on so many projects and the overspends are unaccounted for.
A new airport at a cost of $250Million dollars and “NO INCREASE IN OUR PLP NATIONAL DEBT of $2BILLION dollars.
All the demonstrators must be friends and family members.
Who among you all has a 10 year crystal ball let alone a 30 year crystal ball ? No body !
We heard of a passenger jet that went down today, ships are becoming more popular,go with what works today.
Mr. Richards drop that hot potato and lick your wounds.
Put our talented people to do repair work know them I have worked with them.
POT A CORK IN IT YOU!!! OBA BUILD THE AIRPORT NOW,,ITS A GOOD DAM DEAL FOR F#$% SAKE!!!
-many consultants past and present(PLP also proposed a new airport) insist a new airport is needed.
-Respected contractors &Service companies that work at the airport say it is a falling apart dump.
- Bermuda needs a major construction project(jobs) very soon as the Greens have kept the construction industry above water long enough and seem to be cooling out for while
- Bermuda is broke and cant afford to build it now or in the next few years… maybe never(who knows)
all the best.
that’s just the way it is for those living in the now without political motive.
