Bermuda U20 World Cup Team Leaves For Haiti

The island’s U20 World Cup team departed Bermuda yesterday [June 27] in order to travel to Haiti, with Bermuda having been drawn in Group 3 with the Cayman Islands, Anguilla, and host Haiti.

The team includes players who were part of the team that placed fourth in the 2013 CONCACAF U15 Championships.

The team will start their first match of the qualifying tournament against the Cayman Islands on June 29, before facing host Haiti on July 1 and closing out their stay with their final match versus Anguilla.

The group winners and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best runners-up will advance to the final round, which will be held from October 1 through October 30 in Curacao.

The team includes Jahtino Richardson-Martin; David Jones; Jahkari Furbert; Nathan Rego; Osagi Bascome; Zenwai Bowen; Jahquill Hill; Detre Bell; Jaz Ratteray Smith; Cameron Neal; Diondre Dowling; Liam Evans; Tehvan Tyrell; Amar Lewis; Paul Douglas; Tahzeiko Harris; Rai Sampson; Jahnaze Swan; and Ahria Simons.

Staff include Kyle Lightbourne; Andrew Bascome; Dashun Cooper; Amori Venter; and Antoine Augustus.
