Court: Man Admits Stealing From Car & Prowling

June 21, 2016

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [June 21], Richard Dill, 48, plead guilty to stealing $3.00 worth of coins from a woman’s car that was parked outside her residence; and to prowling about her residence.

Police later  arrested Dill and, on being questioned, he admitted the actions.

This morning Dill asked to be given help for his thirty year old drug addiction problems.

Magistrate Archie Warner reviewed Dill long criminal record and pointed out that several times, Dill had been put on probation, served several jail sentences, and had been sent to the Drug Treatment Court several times.

The Magistrate directed that he must attend the Drug Treatment Court, when the DTC would decide whether Mr Dill would benefit from another intervention, and set 5th July as the sentencing date for Dill. He was remanded into custody.
