Central Bus Kiosk Set To Close At 5.30PM Today

The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] kiosk at Central Bus Terminal on Washington Street in Hamilton will close at 5.30pm today [Aug 15].

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation Bus Kiosk at Central Terminal on Washington Street in Hamilton is closing at 5.30pm today, Monday 15 August 2016.

“The DPT apologises for any inconvenience to its valued customers.”

    I’m amazed at the number of times this has happened without a single explanation. I guess if it was a good explanation we’d have heard it by now, which means it isn’t.

    This does not show much appreciation for valued customers. More like what is convenient for us the DPT staff. Nothing new.

    The drop in demand after regular business hours is understood but 5:30 is way early for a public transport service to be closing.

    No problem. Can’t help but notice the huge increase in the number of mini buses these days. If DPT & the taxis don’t want to serve the public, no worries, the mini buses will.
