BHCT Sets Deadline For Buy A Brick Campaign
With summer winding down, the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust [BHCT] is getting ready to ramp up the legacy brick campaign again with the hope of installing close to Christmas, setting a purchase deadline of October 21, 2016 for installation by the holiday.
A spokesperson said, “The bricks are a way for people to leave their mark, to leave their legacy etched in stone; whether it’s a birth, an anniversary, a new business, a message of appreciation, a memorial or personal tribute. The bricks are a great way to leave a lasting legacy.”
Legacy Walkway at the entrance to the new Acute Care Wing:
“Health Care is vital for everyone. The BHCT will continue to support the island’s only health care facilities with funding for new programs, new technologies, education and training, new wellness initiatives – anything to help ensure Bermuda’s health care stays on track with first-class health care expectations.
“We want a facility we can all be proud of, and a health care system that people can rely on.”
“In this most recent push for brick orders, the BHCT has set a deadline with the hopes that people will want to order their commemorative bricks as a gift for themselves or a loved one. The legacy bricks are purchased by individuals or groups and then engraved with a special message.”
Walkway donors leaving their legacy:
“They are carefully installed by Horsfield Landscape and Design and become a part of the living legacy that marks the entrance to the new Acute Care Wing at the King Edward Memorial Hospital.”
“The brick order forms [PDF] will be sent to 28,000 households and post office boxes early next week.
“People can follow the easy to use instructions for personalizing the bricks along with the easy payment methods. Supporters find great satisfaction in becoming a part of a lasting legacy.”
