[Written by Don Burgess]
Bermuda’s Flora Duffy topped the podium in Montreal today as her last race before heading down to the Rio Olympics.
Duffy was competing in the Montreal International Triathlon Union World Cup, where she dominated from start to finish.
As she did in her last two events, Duffy broke away on the bike portion before breaking the tape on the run.
She finished with a time of 1:03:02. Australia’s Ashleigh Gentile was second and American Taylor Knibb was third.
The competition was Duffy’s last before she tries for a medal at the Rio Olympics on Saturday, August 20. She is in top form having won her last two races as well as being ranked number one in the world.
