MS Amlin Help Provide School Shoes For Kids
The MS Amlin Charity Committee in Bermuda is supporting the Department of Child & Family Services by providing families in need with school shoes for their children.
Lisa Finnerty, Chair of the MS Amlin Charity Committee in Bermuda, said, “We are very pleased to support The Department of Child & Family Services by providing families in need with the opportunity of purchasing school shoes for their children.
“All children look forward to waking up on their first morning of school and putting on their brand new shoes. Unfortunately, some children in Bermuda are not blessed with that opportunity. We want to be able to do our part by easing that burden while bringing smiles to the faces of some of Bermuda’s children.”
Additional committee members include Antoinette Simmons, Stuart Mason, Carleisha Seymour, Rahjee Burrows and Crystal Lambert.
Receiving the donation of gift certificates is Selena Simons, the current Foster Care Coordinator for the Department of Child & Family Services.
Mrs. Simons said, “The foster families will be very thankful for this donation as the purchasing of school shoes and school sneakers is not something that just occurs in September, many parents can attest to the fact that children go through rapid growth spurts and by the time we turn the calendar in the new year, many will need to replace the shoes and sneakers already purchased.
“This timely donation from the MS Amlin Charity Committee is great as it provides a tangible, practical level of support. We are very appreciative and thank the committee for thinking of us.”
Fantastic!!
