Continental Society Donates Hampers

The Continental Society of Bermuda donated hampers to 22 families, totaling 97 people, with the hampers including cleaning products, personal care items, laundry supplies, grocery and pharmacy gift cards, and children’s masks.

The Continental Society of Bermuda said they “have a four-pronged approach to their work that includes Health, Education, Employment and Recreation plus Arts and Humanities” and their contributions “to create environments within our communities that empower children to have access to quality and appropriate opportunities to reach their optimal potential revolve around these points.”

Tracy Packwood, the committee chair said, “We understand that the Covid-19 pandemic has created hardships for some families. We felt compelled to try to ease the stress for families by providing them with a few essential items. The families we support often forgo the purchase of cleaning and personal products to stretch their food budget.”

The Continental Society of Bermuda has been operational on our shores, serving Bermuda’s children for over 50 years. It is an affiliate chapter of The Continental Societies Inc. in the United States, and the members meet monthly to organize initiatives and offer support that ensures the welfare of children in Bermuda with a focus on those in disadvantaged situations.
