Photos: Olympic Athletes Return To Bermuda
Throughout the week, Bermuda’s Olympic athletes have been arriving back home following their participation in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Sailors Cameron Pimentel and Cecilia Wollmann were the latest Olympians to arrive home, where they were greeted by Premier Michael Dunkley and Minister of Social Development & Sports Sylvan Richards.
Sprinter Tre Houston and swimmers Julian Fletcher and Rebecca Heyliger arrived home earlier this week, where they were greeted by Junior Minister for Social Development & Sports Nandi Davis.
In addition to the five that returned home this week, Bermuda was also represented at the Olympics by rower Shelley Pearson, long jumper Tyrone Smith, and triathlete Flora Duffy.
Sylvan, now I can see why your too busy to return voter’s calls. Photo ops are not going to encourage my family or I to vote for your party in the next election even if your delusions lead you to believe we will.
To The Original Truth:
Funny!!!!!Love that.
hahahahahahaha…….
and the minister is STILL using that knock-off flag.
You can’t expect much from a whole political system that’s a knock-off from governing party to opposition. Worse of all they knock-off parts of systems already tried and failed and expect to get a better result. It would be more worth our tax dollars having jim henson productions create us two parties. Statler and Waldorf would make for more forthright party leaders than what we have.
Come on now. The Minister was in Brazil and at the airport to welcome home the Olympic athletes but he was NOT at Cup Match.
Really?
Tell me that is NOT true.
What you gonna do if it is true??
Lots of Bermudians do not go to Cupmatch; does that make them any less of one than you?
