Logic: ‘Efforts To Repair Service Are Successful’

September 13, 2016

Following technical difficulties which began earlier this month, Logic advised customers using their email services and utilizing the @northrock.bm address, that “efforts to repair the service have been successful.”

“As of this notice, Logic would like to advise customers subscribing to our email services and utilizing the @northrock.bm address, that efforts to repair the service have been successful,” the company said.

“On September 4th email services for customers using an @northrock.bm email address were impacted by critical hardware failures, resulting in a loss of email accessibility. On September 5th, these services were partially restored but with degraded service.

“On September 10th at 11pm Logic engineers began replacing the affected hardware, and by 6am on September 11th the work was completed. With the new hardware in place, @northrock.bm email services were returned to normal operations.

“Any customers still experiencing difficulties with their email service might require assistance with login credentials or settings on certain devices. These customers are encouraged to call the Logic help centre at 296-9600 and speak to a technical agent. Their hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 7:00pm and Saturday 9:30am – 5:00pm.

“Logic is making every effort to improve customer experience and to continue delivering quality services to the people of Bermuda. We apologize for this outage and any inconvenience it may have caused.”

    Crap company with crap service.

    • Morris says:

Efforts to repair the service is successful. LOL, what was their intention ? To destroy it. I just had to a comic reply to their statement.

    • What About You? says:

Great, now maybe they can put some effort into getting the Cablevision / TIVO service working again. It is disgusting how long we have been without the TIVO guide. I’ve tried to call at least 10 times this last week. Only three times could I get thru to anyone. Nobody could help and nobody could give me the name of anyone I could speak to. All three times I was disconnected after being transferred.

I’ve seen many others venting about this Logic / TIVO problem online and nobody seems to be able to get an answer as to what is wrong, what they are doing about it, and when we can expect service to be restored.

Does anyone in Bernewsland have a name, number or email address of someone there that can help?

      • Zevon says:

Yep. For the last month I have not been able to watch anything below channel 30. Not thatt I’m missing much.

      • TIVO says:

Because TiVo was purchased by Rovi and Rovi doesn’t use TV Guide (TiVo did) Rovi is not recognizing Cablevision channel lineup attached to zip code 00532.

Rovi doesn’t operate outside of the U.S. so whether Bermuda is included is yet to be decided by the company. Cablevision doesn’t decide this-Rovi does. This is not a Cablevision issue.

        • BDA Mark says:

Understood about Cablevision not deciding…But you should understand they were very proud of being instrumental in setting this up. (see http://www.cablevision.bm/support/digital-cable-tv/tivo/ )

It’s now broken – I think they do have responsibility now to represent our interests to Tivo (/Rovi) and have leverage to get the guide working again.

  2. serengeti says:

Are they planning to start answering the phones again now?

  3. Yeah right says:

This company deserves to go out of business. They have so many problems and no answers to customer complaints. Cancelled my subscription because their coverage of the premier league SUCKS! Thank god I’m with Digicel so I dontt have to suffer when they ruin CellOne

    • JONO says:

Would like to cancel and go to Digicel but locked in to Logic til Nov 2017….service sucks..

      • What About You? says:

I’m crossing my fingers with the whole Cellone merger and hope it goes smoother than the others.

I see their advert says something like, “think about Logic and the Peanut Butter and Cellone as the Jelly”…..problem is I think I am starting to develop a nut allergy!

    • Jim Taylor says:

Correction: its not them its the FlowSports coverage that sucks. I compared the coverage to the FlowSports website and its identical ie theyre not blocking any games. What we need is that 2nd channel, that’s where all the games are. When is that coming!!??

      • Jus' Wonderin' says:

What they haven’t told most people is that “eventually” you’ll need to purchase the SportsMax package in order to even have/see the Flow channel/s! WHAT A JOKE!

    • Truth is killin' me... says:

Fox Soccer Channel was da bomb! Best coverage of Premiere League ever. Sportmax was crap and Flowsports is meh!

    • PBanks says:

      Wait ’til Digicel buys Logic…

  4. Rumsoak says:

I am still on the phone after 20 minutes .

  5. Peter s says:

I called last week just after 5 pm and on a Saturday and ended up with customer service in USA

  6. Wow says:

My internet is still going in and out though.

  7. Onionjuice says:

Logic, what are you doing to compensate your customers ?, You should be proactive and give your accounts a credit

  8. JUNK YARD DOG says:

I am one of the first to subscribe to Northrock.BM.

Electronics has become our way of life, however it is not with out its challenges.

We have some computer olics among us who want instant gratitude, well life is not that way. Having a bad haircut day are we!

I am sure that the Logic technical staff worked long hours to get the service back on line , solving electronic problems is far from easy as there are thousands of parts that can just wear or burn out.

Just pop the top on you transistor radio or your smoke alarm and you will see what I mean.

Let me be the first and not the last to say thank you to all those who worked tirelessly to get the service up and running.

I guess for some of you the best is not good enough.

Are you as good at your job as they are at theirs.

    • Zevon says:

They are supposed to actually provide a service, not “try hard to provide a service”.

If I pay for something I should get it, not an excuse about how the equipment was old.

  9. JUNK YARD DOG says:

Let this be a lesson to all of us ” Things Happen” and when they do,we had better be prepared to meet the problems head on.

” If you have not sat on a burlap sack how could you know what a silk cushion feels like.

“There are seats in a lifeboat for those who are prepared to row ”

Apparently some of you have no idea what hardship is.

    • Rumsoak says:

and you used to walk to school , 50 miles . in the sun . uphill . without any breakfast.

      • What About You? says:

        uphill both ways

      • JUNK YARD DOG says:

W.W. 11 Manchester England ***** Mummy. Will the bombs fall again tonight?

      • JUNK YARD DOG says:

        Don’t be silly.
No ! I used to do it on my pedal bike, Why walk when you can ride and some times i would get soaking wet !

  10. Having My Say says:

What I would like to see is a rebate for northrock customers for loss of service through Logic. As a company, they need to realise that customers have the autonomy to move to providers that are willing to provide better service as well as respond to customers phone calls and emails. So far, the service this month has been unacceptable.

  11. Logic: Do interview others for that C.E.O.position. Money wasted there. Someone is needed in that position with wit and know-how.

  12. Kiskadee says:

I had 2 weeks of poor service, either no e-mails or some all at once and unable to send any. I hope I don’t have to pay for that period !

  13. Jus' Wonderin' says:

YOUR COVERAGE OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD! WE HAVEN’T EVEN GOTTEN OUR “PRESS RELEASE” YET AND IT’S ALMOST 5 GAMEWEEK’S INTO THE SEASON! PATHETIC ALL OF YOU!

  14. Bermudians Matter says:

I don’t get it…if you don’t like the service why keep on talking about it take action!!!!!! Typical Bermudians.. nothing is perfect in this world you don’t like it move on to somewhere else or stfu

    • Jus' Wonderin' says:

Shut up…who are you Kim Jong Il?! We’re allowed to voice our opinions, especially if it’s **** service which it is! Go lay down…

      • Bermudians Matter says:

        Lol I don’t give a who about ya feelings..yea u stfu

        • Bermudians Matter says:

Sound like a human rights activist “we have the right to voice our opinions”… Lmawtfo

  15. Branco says:

    http://downdetector.com/status/gmail/news/73685-problems-at-gmail

If you look at this link Google was down this week too so it is not just a Bermuda company issue and the answer is not to use Google mail. So those out there that make it sound simple to pick an email provider are wrong.
