Video/Results: Open Water Swimming Nationals
The Bermuda National Open Water Championships took place on Sunday with swimmers taking to the waters at Clearwater Beach and Turtle Bay to participate in one of three races which consisted of a 5k, 1500m or 400m open water swim.
Daniel Kunst won the 400m open water swim placing first with a time of 6:26. Harlan Watson-Brown came second in a time of 6:37, while Flynn Watson-Brown took third place in a time of 6:51. Chelsea Lomas was the first female across the line with a time of 6:52 and placed fourth overall.

Jesse Washington defended his title in the 1500m open water swim placing first with a time of 20:19. Former record holder in the 50-meter backstroke and the 100-meter backstroke, Peter Marshall placed second with a time of 21:22, while Olympian Rebecca Heyliger placed third overall and first female in a time of 21:52.
Erik Soria won the 5k open water swim with a time of 1:08:10 while Ilya Cherapau placed second in a time of 1:11:24, and Eileen Mullowney placed third overall and first female across the line in a time of 1:14:34.
