Orange Bay ‘Give Thanks, Give Back & Chill’
Orange Bay Company and Orange Bay Kids will be hosting a ‘Give Thanks, Give Back and Chill Party’ on Thursday, October 27. The event is free for registered guests and there are limited tickets remaining.
The event was originally conceived in honour of the company’s first year at its new City of Hamilton address and to introduce guests to the brand new kids department which has opened on the lower level of the consignment store.
“Orange Bay Kids has the same model as the Orange Bay Company Department Store for consignors and shoppers with high quality merchandise – for kids and expectant moms,” the company said.
“When the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew became apparent, Orange Bay Company management and staff determined that with Bermuda’s good fortune borne out of significant resources, solid infrastructure and the ability to adequately prepare, that there was an opportunity to manifest gratitude and privilege by giving back.
“Feed My Lambs Ministry was preparing to send goods and funds to Haiti to help in the recovery efforts and so Orange Bay Company decided to transform the Open House into a fundraising and celebration event.
“The Event will feature Bermuda’s award-winning live musical group, The Big Chill with Kassie Caines and Tony Brannon performing in the specialty boutique.
“At the event, Orange Bay Company will offer lowest ticket price for Feed My Lambs donations of $5 or more, and for donations of $15 or more, they will offer a 2017 Feed My Lambs calendar plus lowest ticket price on merchandise in all departments – Home, Apparel, and Kids.
“There will be a silent Auction featuring a high value, luxury item, Haitian Art, plants donated by Aberfeldy Nurseries and a styling session by Fashion Stylist, Megan Ephraim.
“The organisers are grateful to sponsors, Burrows Lightbourn who came on board and donated all the wine for the event, and Pastel and Pastry has donated the dessert station.”

an interesting line…. the event is free to registered guests” they say they want to give back. Sounds like something slightly short of a black tie affair, I can commend them for the thought, I would rather not see a situation where you have to pay to give.
